50 Million Viewers in 25 Days on Amazon
“Beast Games,” the reality competition series from YouTube personality MrBeast, is now Amazon Prime Video‘s most-watched unscripted series ever.
The series achieved that by reaching 50 million viewers in the 25 days after its Dec. 19 premiere, according to Amazon. That total also makes it the streamer’s No. 2 series debut of 2024, behind “Fallout,” when accounting for 25 days of viewership across all titles. (It should be noted that Amazon does not define what it counts as a viewer; therefore, 50 million could refer to the number of people who watched any portion of “Beast Games,” rather than completing any full episodes.)
Along with achieving strong viewership, “Beast Games” became Amazon’s most acquisitive series of 2024 since “Fallout,” meaning that it drove more subscriber growth than other series. It has been especially popular internationally: Amazon notes that 50% of the show’s audience is outside of the United States, with outsized performance in India, the U.K. and Mexico.
Hosted and co-created by MrBeast aka Jimmy Donaldson, “Beast Games” sees 1,000 players compete in physical, mental, and social challenges for a chance to win a $5 million dollar cash prize.
Sean Klitzner, Tyler Conklin and Mack Hopkins also serve as co-creators. MrBeast, Klitzner and Conklin executive produce with Michael Cruz, Matt Apps, Charles Wachter, Keith Geller, Joe Coleman, and Rachel Skidmore.
