Evan Peters and Ryan Murphy to Reunite for FX’s ‘Beauty’
Evan Peters and Ryan Murphy are returning to FX together, with the network giving out a series order to the drama “The Beauty.”
Peters will star in “The Beauty” with Murphy serving as co-creator. Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, and Jeremy Pope will also star in the show, which is based on the Image Comics series of the same name by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley. Matthew Hodgson is also a co-creator on the series. Peters, Murphy, Hodgson, Kutcher, Ramos, and Pope are all executive producers along with Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Nissa Diederich and Eric Gitter. The series is produced by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television. Murphy is under an overall deal at Disney, which includes 20th Television.
Production is slated to begin this fall, with FX ordering 11 episodes. Exact plot and character details are being kept under wraps, but the description of the comic books states, “Modern society is obsessed with outward beauty. What if there was a way to guarantee you could become more and more beautiful every day? What if it was a sexually transmitted disease? In the world of ‘The Beauty,’ physical perfection is attainable. The vast majority of the population has taken advantage of it, but Detectives Foster and Vaughn will soon discover it comes at a terrible price.”

Peters also appeared in the first season of the FX series “Pose,” which Murphy also co-created.
