CBS, Audacy Ink Expanded Podcast Sales and Distribution Deal


Audacy expanded its exclusive multiyear sales and distribution pact with CBS to encompass more than three dozen podcasts, including companion shows for “48 Hours,” “Survivor” and “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

Since 2022, Audacy has been the ad sales and distribution partner for CBS Sports podcasts. The two companies’ partnership now includes the podcast slates from CBS Entertainment, CBS Media Ventures, CBS News, and CBS Studios podcast slates. The 39 additional podcasts from CBS are available on the Audacy app and other major audio platforms as of Thursday.

The CBS News & Entertainment podcast portfolio features franchises across genres including news, true crime, reality and late night. Highlights include “48 Hours” and its spinoffs; “On Fire with Jeff Probst,” the official “Survivor” podcast offering exclusive behind-the-scenes insights; and “The Late Show Pod Show with Stephen Colbert.” Additional titles include “60 Minutes,” “Avatar: Braving the Elements,” “CBS Evening News,” “CBS Mornings On The Go,” “CBS News Sunday Morning,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “Face the Nation With Margaret Brennan,” “Inside Edition,” “MoneyWatch With Jill Schlesinger” and “The Drew Barrymore Show.”

Audacy operates more than 230 broadcast radio stations across 47 U.S. markets, as well as podcast studio Pineapple Street Studios and Podcorn, a podcast hosting and advertising platform. Audacy filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last year, in a bid to slash its debt load. The company is searching for a new CEO after former chief David Field stepped down in January.
