That included “Joker” (2019), “Nomadland” (2020) and “Tar” (2022). A year ago, Silver Frog winner “El Conde” and Bronze Winner “Poor Things” went on to earn Academy Award noms, while “The New Boy” claimed the Golden Frog at the festival.
This year’s edition of Camerimage will open with Steve McQueen’s “Blitz,” lensed by Yorick Le Saux, while Jon M. Chu’s “Wicked,” shot by cinematographer Alice Brooks, is set to close the festival.
