After winning five Academy Awards this year, including best picture, best director for Sean Baker, best actress for Mikey Madison, and others, “Anora” gets a new physical media release from the Criterion Collection. And while the dark rom-com is streamable on Hulu, the new release has better picture and audio quality, premium artwork and a wide range of exclusive bonus features.

Available for pre-order starting at $20.99 on Amazon, “Anora” drops on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD. The release comes out on Tuesday, April 29, while you can pre-order it right now. The retail giant will send you a notification once the release is ready to ship.

The Criterion Collection release is also available at Barnes & Noble.

“Anora” in 4K Ultra HD comes in a two-disc set: Disc one has the movie itself with a new 4K digital master and a 5.1 surround DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack. Disc two has another version of the film on Blu-ray and additional bonus features.

Bonus features include artwork by Bianca Parkes and GrandSon with photography by Max Abadian, a new making-of documentary, new interviews with Sean Baker and Mikey Madison, “Anora’s” Cannes Film Festival press conference, a special Q&A with Madison and actor-stripper Lindsey Normington, deleted scenes, audition footage and much more.

Additionally, the Criterion Collection release features two audio commentary tracks: One with Baker, producers Alex Coco and Samantha Quan, and cinematographer Drew Daniels, while the other gas Baker with actors Yura Borisov, Mark Eydelshteyn, Karren Karagulian, Mikey Madison, and Vache Tovmasyan.

Written and directed by Sean Baker, “Anora” follows a stripper and sex worker named Anora (Mikey Madison), who falls for Ivan (Mark Eydelshteyn), the son of wealthy Russian oligarchs. However, when Ivan’s parents catch wind of their son’s spontaneous wedding, they send their handler and his muscle to put an end to their marriage.

The film stars Yura Borisov, Karren Karagulian, Vache Tovmasyan, Aleksei Serebryakov, Darya Ekamasova and others.
