‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Season 5 Trailer: Stabler Returns

The trailer for “Law & Order: Organized Crime” Season 5 has been released.

The series follows detectives in New York City who tackle extreme criminal enterprises through the Organized Crime Control Bureau. The cast includes Christopher Meloni, Danielle Moné Truitt, Ainsley Seiger, Dean Norris and Rick Gonzalez.

Meloni plays Det. Elliot Stabler, his character from “Law & Order: SVU,” who works as lead detective for the Organized Crime Control Bureau. The season covers “the dangerous worlds of cross-border smuggling, high-tech domestic terrorism and a crime family intent on repaying Stabler for the injury he did them in Rome. As his worlds collide, Stabler will put everything on the line to protect the vulnerable and fight for justice,” according to the official description of the season.

Seiger plays Jet Slootmaekers, and Gonzalez plays Bobby Reyes — two characters who aid the investigations. Norris plays Stabler’s brother, Randall.

Season 5 premieres April 17 with the first two episodes, followed by episodes releasing every Thursday. There are 10 one-hour episodes total. The series recently moved to Peacock, where it will be available to stream. NBC will also air the premiere.

Universal Television and Wolf Entertainment produce the series.

The show is created by Dick Wolf, Ilene Chaiken and Matt Olmstead. Executive producers include Wolf, Olmstead, Meloni, John Shiban, Mike Slovis, Peter Jankowski and Tim Walsh.

Mariska Hargitay commented on wanting to reunite with Meloni at some point, telling Variety that “It’s time now for us. This was a long time not being in each other’s universe.”
