Season 6 Set for Jan. 25 Bow

The anticipated sixth season of “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir,” the Paris-set blockbuster animated superhero series, is set to world premiere in the U.S. on Jan. 25.

The new season will bow on Disney Channel and Disney XD with episodes airing in simulcast at 11am ET/PT, while the international rollouts will begin during the first quarter of 2025.

The Miraculous saga revolves around the double lives of Marinette and Adrien, two seemingly ordinary teenagers who transform into secret superheroes Ladybug and Cat Noir to protect their city of Paris. “Marinette and Adrian navigate a deepening relationship filled with life-altering revelations and unforeseen challenges, while their superhero alter egos must confront their most formidable adversary yet,” reads the synopsis.

Season six will be the first series produced using Unreal Engine, a real-time 3D creation tool that brings immersive and photorealistic storytelling to life. It also introduces updated character designs, Andy Yeatman, the L.A.-based CEO of Miraculous Corp, told Variety in October.

“The launch of season six coincides with the 10th anniversary of the Miraculous brand and promises an exciting new chapter in the franchise,” said Maria Doolan, head of content partnerships and distribution at Miraculous Corp.

“This season features characters who have grown and evolved with refreshed visuals that capture their development, and a bold new storyline weaves together themes of courage and self-belief that continue to resonate with fans of all ages. Disney has been instrumental in bringing ‘Miraculous’ to a global audience, and we’re thrilled to share this exciting milestone with viewers worldwide,” Doolan continued.

Seasons six and seven of “Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir” are produced in collaboration with Disney Branded Television, Brazil’s Globosat, Italy’s KidsMe, and France’s TF1. Season seven is currently in production for a 2026 launch.

In related news, the franchise’s fourth TV event, “Miraculous World: London at the Edge of Time,” premiered on Nov. 28, on Disney Channel and Disney+ in the U.S.

Created by Thomas Astruc, Nathanaël Bronn and Jeremy Zag, the franchise has already yielded five seasons that are available in 150 countries, three TV movies and one feature film, “Miraculous, The Movie,” which ranks as one of the most-watched French animated films worldwide.

Miraculous Corp is a joint venture between Pierre-Antoine Capton’s Mediawan (“The Count of Monte Cristo”) and ZAG, the independent animation studio led by Jeremy Zag.
