SkyShowtime has announced that production is underway for its new comedy series “Nails,” its third original series commissioned in Spain.
“Nails” tells the story of four women from distinct backgrounds and ages who meet regularly at a nail salon, leading to a transformative friendship. The quartet is overwhelmed by societal pressures to be “perfect,” which prompts them to question their lives and identities. As they grapple with chronic stress, they decide to rebel against their circumstances, which causes an emotional upheaval in their families. This rebellion culminates in the formation of The Free Women’s Club, a safe space aimed at helping other women navigate their challenges.
The show, filmed between Madrid and Bilbao, features an ensemble cast including Cristina Castaño (“Toy Boy”), Marimar Vega (“Las trampas del deseo”), Gracia Olayo (“La Mesías”), Teresa Cuesta (“Machos Alfa”), Fernando Tejero (“La que se avecina”), Javier Antón (“Vaya semanita”), Juanjo Cucalón (“Amar es para siempre”) and Raúl Mérida (“Regreso a Las Sabinas”).
The series, created by Araceli Álvarez de Sotomayor, who also serves as writer and director, is produced by Federation Spain in collaboration with Telemundo Studios and SkyShowtime. It adds to SkyShowtime’s expanding roster of original content, with 20 originals already launched and 10 more expected in 2025.

Netflix is moving forward with Studio N‘s “Bloodhounds” Season 2, bringing back stars Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi to reprise their roles as boxing partners Gun-woo and Woo-jin. Jung Ji-hoon joins the cast as new antagonist Baek-jeong, leader of an underground boxing league.
The series, Season 1 of which landed in Netflix’s Global Top 10 across 83 countries after its June 2023 debut, follows the crime-fighting duo as they shift focus from loan shark schemes to an international illegal boxing operation.
Woo (“Mr. Plankton,” “The King: Eternal Monarch”) returns as principled boxer Gun-woo, alongside Lee (“My Demon,” “No Gain No Love”) as his partner Woo-jin. Jung (“Take 1,” “Red Swan”) makes his antagonist debut as Baek-jeong, who draws the pair into underground boxing.
Kim Joo-hwan continues as director-writer, with Seven O Six and Ghost Studio co-producing. The series is based on Jeong Chan’s Naver webtoon of the same name.
