‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ Debuts on Top With 2.4 Billion Minutes Watched, ‘Woman of the Hour’ Leads Film Chart Oct. 18-24


The third season of “The Lincoln Lawyer” was the top title on Luminate’s weekly measurement of streaming originals for the Oct. 18-24 viewing window, hitting a strong 2.4 billion minutes watched in its first full week of availability. Season 3 has also brought renewed attention to Seasons 1 and 2, which charted at No. 8 with 317.9 million minutes watched and No. 10 with 266.2 million minutes watched, respectively.

The legal drama approximately tripled the viewership of the next-most-watched streaming original series in the U.S., which was “Love Is Blind” Season 7. The unscripted dating show was watched for 805.3 million minutes from Oct. 18 to Oct. 24, which marked the third full week of availability for the first six episodes, the second full week of availability for Episodes 7-9 and the first full week of availability for Episodes 10 and 11, while also including two days of availability for Episode 12.

With 647.9 million minutes watched, “Tulsa King” Season 2 was the third place TV series for the week, during which its sixth episode was released on Paramount+. Season 1 has also consistently charted throughout Season 2’s release, this week reaching No. 9 with 285.1 million minutes watched.

The rest of the chart positions went to titles with less than 500 million minutes watched. Besides previous seasons of “The Lincoln Lawyer” and “Tulsa King,” there was “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” (443.4 million minutes watched), “Nobody Wants This” (412.5 million), “Outer Banks” Season 4 (336.7 million) and “I Am a Killer” (327.1 million).

On the film chart, Anna Kendrick’s directorial debut feature “Woman of the Hour” debuted with 986.2 million minutes watched in its first full week of streaming on Netflix. Like on the TV chart, the No. 1 title more than tripled the next-highest contender, which was Amazon Prime Video’s “Brothers” with 259.7 million minutes watched, also in its first week. Back on Netflix, “The Shadow Strays” debuted with 216.1 million minutes watched, while every other title came in below 200 million: “Outside” (191.8 million), “Sweet Bobby: My Catfish Nightmare” (185.2 million), “Lonely Planet” (185.1 million), “The Menendez Brothers” (154.7 million), “Justice” (150.4 million), “Girl Haunts Boy” (103 million) and “Hocus Pocus 2” (100.1 million).
