Sukeban, the Japanese female pro-wrestling league that blends sports entertainment with anime and manga culture, has partnered with TikTok to create an immersive fan experience at Anime Expo 2025.
The experience runs July 3-6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
The collaboration will feature interactive programming, live demos, autograph signings and tutorials celebrating anime, manga and Japanese culture. TikTok will also serve as presenting partner for Sukeban’s inaugural World Championship Fight on July 5, part of Anime Expo’s Featured Performances lineup.
The championship event will showcase a five-match card featuring Tokyo wrestlers and girl gangs competing for the Sukeban Champion title. Reigning World Champion Sareee Bomb will defend her title against challenger Maya Mamushi in the main event. The card will also include special musical performances and surprise appearances.
Sukeban has gained international recognition for its unique blend of Japanese pro-wrestling with anime, manga, fashion and beauty elements, featuring performers from Tokyo. The brand’s fan culture extends beyond the ring, with TikTok providing behind-the-scenes content showcasing fashion, beauty, personalities, storylines and action.
The multiday fan experience will take place at the North Plaza outside West Hall and feature interactive programming designed to immerse attendees in Sukeban’s unique blend of wrestling and Japanese pop culture. Activities include live makeup demos by @kennedy5ever, nail art demonstrations by @nailsbymei, and hair styling sessions with Dennis Lanni, all incorporating the aesthetic that defines Sukeban’s brand.
The activation will also offer hands-on experiences such as craft workshops, in-ring wrestling classes led by actor and comedian Yuriyan Retriever alongside Sukeban performers, and fan walk-out photo opportunities. Entertainment programming includes panel discussions, film screenings and karaoke sessions performed from inside the wrestling ring. Wrestler autograph signings and exclusive merchandise releases round out the four-day experience.
Anime Expo attendees will have exclusive access to the Sukeban universe through the activation, while TikTok users can experience the events in real-time and share content with the global TikTok community.
