Kendra Scott is once again going full Dolly. The Austin-based jewelry brand has reunited with Dolly Parton for a second limited-edition collection, which dropped July 11 and draws directly from one of the most recognizable songs in pop culture: “I Will Always Love You.”
The 10-piece line taps into the Dolly iconography that’s been cemented across six decades of music, fashion, and carefully managed mythmaking — hearts, butterflies, florals, and, of course, a heavy dose of sparkle.
The collaboration follows the first Kendra Scott x Dolly Parton drop last fall, which quickly sold out, capitalizing on the enduring demand for all things Dolly. But this latest release dives even deeper into the music icon’s personal symbolism, with designs meant to reflect the emotional arc of the song that made her a crossover legend — first as a country hit in 1974, then as the Whitney Houston megaballad that took over the world in 1992. Prices range from $70 for Ari heart studs to $298 for the Harlow statement necklace, with pieces available online and at Kendra Scott stores.
“Every piece in this collection is a reminder to lead with love, authenticity, and shine your light in the world, just like Dolly has always done,” Scott, who serves as the founder and chief creative officer of the eponymous brand, said in a statement. “Inspired by one of her most iconic songs, you’ll find heart and butterfly motifs throughout this collection, representing everything Dolly stands for.”
For Parton, the Kendra Scott partnership is the latest extension of her ever-expanding empire, even as she navigates a particularly poignant chapter following the passing of her husband Carl Dean last year. At 79, she remains firmly planted in the cultural conversation: developing her autobiographical Broadway musical, preparing for new children’s book releases, contributing to various film projects and fueling the ongoing Dollycore aesthetic that’s permeated both Hollywood and high fashion. While she’s opted not to appear in the upcoming “9 to 5” remake, she remains creatively attched, having written the music and lyrics for the original Tony-nominated musical adaptation.
