For those that didn’t tune into the 30 Rock festivities on Sunday night, a star-studded celebration for the 50th anniversary of “Saturday Night Live,” the entire special is available to stream on Peacock.
“SNL50: The Anniversary Special” aired Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on NBC with a simulcast on Peacock, which now has the program available on-demand. The special is the culmination of several months of programming celebrating the 50th season of “SNL,” which has also included the docuseries “SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night” and the documentary “Ladies & Gentlemen … 50 Years of SNL Music” as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas specials and a re-airing of the first-ever “SNL” episode.
The three-and-a-half-hour primetime special saw the return of the sketch show’s most beloved characters, such as Rachel Dratch’s Debbie Downer, Mike Myers’s Linda Richman and Will Ferrell’s Robert Goulet, in addition to recreations of the most memorable bits like Lonely Island’s Dick in a Box, brought back to life by Lady Gaga and Andy Samberg, “Black Jeapordy” and “Scared Straight.” They also brought together Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny and Pedro Pascal for a recreation of the instantly-iconic Domingo Bridesmaids Sketch first debuted last November.
Other performers and guests of the special included Adam Driver, Ayo Edebiri, Dave Chappelle, John Mulaney, Kim Kardashian, Martin Short, Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Pedro Pascal, Peyton Manning, Quinta Brunson, Robert De Niro, Sabrina Carpenter, Scarlett Johansson, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks and Woody Harrelson, as well as the recently announced set of “SNL” alumni including Adam Sandler, Chevy Chase, Eddie Murphy, Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell.
