Jimmy Kimmel Slams Kanye West, Bianca Censori for Naked Red Carpet

Jimmy Kimmel said during his Feb. 3 monologue on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that Will Smith should’ve slapped Kanye West on the Grammys red carpet. Smith made his first televised awards show appearance since the notorious Oscars slap at the Grammys, where he presented a musical tribute to the late Quincy Jones. West, meanwhile, did not attend the Grammys ceremony but did create shock and awe on the red carpet by having his wife, Bianca Censori, appear nude beside him.

“Another rodent came out of his hole to hit the red carpet at the Grammys last night — none other than Kanye West, who showed up to take photos,” Kimmel said. “He showed up for the red carpet only with his wife, who caused quite a stir. She was wearing … nothing,”

Kimmel said that he would’ve probably devoted his entire monologue to West’s controversial Grammys red carpet appearance had it not been for Donald Trump being back in the White House, explaining: “This shows you just how times have changed. Before Trump, [West and Censori] would have been our whole monologue tonight. Now it’s like the ninth craziest thing that happened this week.”

“Remember when the whole country melted down when one of Janet Jackson’s boobs popped out for a millisecond?” Kimmel continued. “Now a completely nude woman walks the red carpet at the Grammys, they’re yelling, ‘Bianca, over here on the right! Please!”

Kimmel concluded, “Also on the red carpet at the Grammys last night, Will Smith, who is banned from the Oscars for 10 years. The Grammys, they had him onstage honoring Quincy Jones. And you know what’s a shame? Will Smith, all he had to do was run out on that red carpet and slap Kanye. I think all would be forgiven. He would be hosting the Oscars next year.”

West and Censori scandalized the Grammys red carpet with the latter’s nude dress West stood next to her clad in black and black sunglasses. Following the red carpet shocker, the couple left the venue and did not stay to watch the ceremony. A report circulated online that the duo had been kicked out of the event, but one source close to the Grammys disputed that rumor and told Variety it was “not true” and that West simply “walked the carpet, got in his car and left.”

West was nominated at the Grammys this year in the best rap song category for his song “Carnival,” which he co-wrote with Ty Dolla Sign. The duo lost the prize, which went to Kendrick Lamar for “Not Like Us.”
