There are always many factors at play when it comes to deciding a Super Bowl halftime performer and this year, it was a perfect storm for Kendrick Lamar, who took home big wins at the Grammys, and whose headlining appearance on the coveted stage comes just as he embarks on a tour with SZA this summer.
If history repeats itself, the rapper’s triumphant halftime performance will result in a major spike in ticket demand for his and SZA’s “Grand National” tour. According to data from TickPick, Usher’s Super Bowl performance last year resulted in: 38% of all tour tickets sold coming after his halftime performance, a 40% increase in concert ticket price and a 550% increase in Spotify streams.
The “Grand National Tour” will hit 19 stadiums across North America, between April and June of 2025. Tickets went on sale in December but luckily there are still tickets available to nearly all of their stops. In fact, on Monday morning the pair even set more than 30 additional dates to their jaunt, now running through Aug. 9.
Various presales will become available Wednesday, Feb. 12-13. General onsale will start Friday, Feb. 14 at 9 a.m. local time on grandnationaltour.com. Resale tickets are also available at Stubhub, Vivid Seats, Seatgeek and Ticketmaster.
Meanwhile, search interest has already surged for Lamar’s chart-topping “GNX,” which debuted at No. 1 in December. There are multiple vinyl versions of the album available online, including a special “LA Dodger Edition” available in a dark blue colorway, and a limited-edition LP in light blue.
