Produced By Conference Returns in May on Universal Studios Lot
The Produced By Conference by the Producers Guild of America returns May 31 with networking opportunities and discussions on where producing is headed, AI and current television hits.
Held on the Universal Studios lot, the one-day conference includes a networking luncheon and reception. A “State of Producing” discussion will make its return, as will conversations about AI in relation to producing. There will also be highlights on how to pitch and sell in the TV industry.
The conference’s executive producer is Branden Chapman, and Diane Salerno serves as sponsorship director.
PGA members have access to $99 early bird ticket costs, with the discount ending after March 23. General admission will be available for purchase March 24.
Last year’s Produced By Conference set speakers like Lucia Aniello, Stephanie Allain and Angela Russo-Otstot. It featured guests behind shows like “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “How To with John Wilson” to talk about crafting TV pitches. Executives from companies like Revelations Entertainment and I2A2 Technologies, Studios and Labs participated in the conference to talk about AI.
“I don’t know if an artist I commission is using generative AI. I didn’t really care before, but I guess I have to care now,” Lori McCreary, Revelations Entertainment CEO, said at a panel at last year’s Produced By Conference.
The annual conference has been around since 2008.
More than 8,400 producers are part of the PGA, a non-profit that advocates for producers across film, television and newer media. It handles issues like employment and healthcare resources as well as provides up-and-coming producers with mentoring and informational avenues.
