SESAC Film and TV Awards Laura Karpman and Leigh Roberts Win Big
Laura Karpman and Leigh Roberts were among the top honorees at SESAC‘s Film and Television Awards in Santa Monica, Calif., on Wednesday, for their work on “The Marvels” and “Mafia Spies,” respectively.
Those recognized across mediums included Karpman for streaming performance; Jon Ehrlich for streaming and network television; Danny Lux for streaming, network and cable TV; and Michael Egizi for cable and network television.
Television composers honored during the event included David Dachinger for “NFL on CBS,” Gabriel Mann for “Modern Family” and Jason Halbert for his work on The Kelly Clarkson Show, along with several others.
Recognition in streaming media went to Randy Newman, John Swihart and Jon Ehrlich, among others.

“It’s a privilege to celebrate our incredibly talented composers,” said Erin Collins, SESAC’s Senior Vice President of TV/Film Creative Services, in a statement.
In addition to its Film and Television event, SESAC runs several other awards shows — the SESAC Latina Music Awards, the Nashville Music Awards and its flagship SESAC Music Awards.
