“Saturday Night Live” alum Vanessa Bayer made a surprise appearance during this week’s episode of “Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney,” playing Netflix’s new AI assistant.

During a break in the interview, which featured Ben Stiller, Quinta Brunson and Nick Kroll, Bayer was introduced in a phony camera test as Netflix’s new AI helper.

“Hello, I’m Jerica, your Netflix AI executive assistant,” Bayer said with a deadpan smile and robotic posture. “It looks like, in the past 10 days, you’ve watched: bad stand-up special, good stand-up special, dog shit special, absolute dog shit special. As well as multiple series where the main character is: a sad girl, a short girl, a horse girl, a dinner girl. We’re thrilled you are enjoying the diversity of our programming!”

Jerica then gave them some suggestions on what to watch next based on the viewer’s “complex viewing habits.”

“I feel like you might be interested in an eight-part documentary about a fucking loser who collects Furbies and turns out to be secretly gay,” Bayer joked, breaking into a disembodied robot voice. “You may also enjoy: an eating show, petite bald twins real estate show. Or movies like: big names in bad stuff and small names in Christmas stuff. And if you do, you’re guaranteed to love: expensive show executive produced by Barack Obama, a Joe Torre Kennedy Center Thing.”

The bit continued, “Tell me where you would like to begin simply by saying something like, ‘Jerica, do you have anything that’s set in the South but also somehow Korean?’ It’s as easy as that!”

This wasn’t the only joke of the night made at Netflix’s expense. Earlier in the evening, host Mulaney used his show’s position on the streamer’s top 10 rankings to jab at the entertainment juggernaut.

“Our show is right up there alongside Latino culture clash sitcom ‘Welcome to the Family,’ a true crime doc about Gabby Petito, a Tyler Perry soap opera and ‘Temptation Island,’” Mulaney said. “Netflix viewers have spoken loud and clear and they are saying, ‘We will watch whatever you show us.’”
